candles, in our colors!

A “pick-me-upper”: finding something that has our colors.

I had no idea what to give my colleague who was my “baby” in our seniors’ Christmas party exchange gifts. Asked hubbie for inspiration ideas and he threw in candles among others. When I went to “Our Home” store to look for home decor ideas, I came across this candle.

Pretty, ne?

Well, suffice it to say that within 10min, I had it gift-wrapped after finding the suitable ceramic stand. =)

Hmmm…this one would be great during cocktails..!

Thanks to Hubbie for giving me the gift-idea. =)

wedding centerpiece inspirations 3

This arrangement is really lovely. Why again? Yes, it has our colors.

Ville Sommet has a high ceiling. I haven’t really paid full attention to it yet but yes, some worry about this high ceiling does start to burn at the back of my mind. (I think reading Markus Zusak’s “Book Thief” the whole day has affected the manner with which I write haha).

Anyways, I digress again. So back to the ceiling. Friends in W@W gave an excellent suggestion – have alternating tall and low flower arrangements to help in reaching out for the ceiling.

And please, can anyone tell me what is the name of this flower??? If this flower symbolizes something positive, then it’ll be perfect to adorn our tall vases. Any advise on this, pretty please?

all about chairs

One should take advantage of the holidays, yes. Hence, i’m still on a roll with browsing for ideas and blogging them all up.

This time, limelight’s on chairs. I’m not really sure if incorporating these ideas would entail an upgrade with our caterer. I sure do hope not. I hope at least one of ’em’s possible to be incorporated on our setup without the additional cost because I really don’t like to have ghost-looking chairs (all draped with white) for our reception.

The orange rununculus with the ferns would just about carry our wedding colors.

I find this really charming. I wonder if K by Cunanan have green-colored Tiffany chairs, if there ever is one.

 The succulents look really lovely.

orange and lime green

Look! Our wedding colors. Lovely aren’t they? Hubbie really was right with his choice of colors. =)

swatches!

I got all hoity-toity when the swatches for the entourage gowns were handed to me for my approval (from Rey’s mom).

The lime green one will be for the maid-of-honor, the orange will be for the bridesmaids and the cream/pale brown one will be for the 2 mothers.

I’m even more kilig with the flower girls’ cloth!!! They’d be very cute in their yukatas with these colors!!! ^_^

For the little boys, still on the look for the most suitable cloth. =)

wedding colors

As Atsushi and I were munching our sumptuous breakfast in the beautiful Ancient House Resort in Hoian, we talked about our motif in our formal ceremony. I initially wanted it to be Spring colors – pink and brown. But after some discussion, we finally settled on Atsushi’s favorite color – Orange , which is to be combined with both our favorite color Green.

The combination of above colors is symbolic as well actually. It represents the  transition from Summer (green) to Autumn (orange) which is around the month that we plan to have our civil wedding; the time of the year when we hope to be joined, civilly, as a couple – granting the powers that be will let us be….

PS (almost 2 months after I published this post):

I came across our wedding colors on Brides magazine (July/August 2009 issue) and I was thrilled even more with how lovely our colors looked!
